Mindix

Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung)

This page explains what data Mindix processes, which third-party services we use to run the product, and why.

Data controller

Mindix is operated by the individual listed in our Imprint. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at yaroslav102201@gmail.com.

Overview

To provide the Mindix service we rely on a small number of specialized third-party providers. Each of them processes a specific slice of your data, described below.

Clerk — Authentication

We use Clerk to handle account creation, sign-in, and session management. Clerk processes your email address, authentication credentials (or your Google account identifier, if you sign in with Google), and technical session data (e.g. login timestamps, device/browser information). This data is used solely to let you securely create an account and access Mindix.

Neon — Database (EU / Frankfurt)

Our application database is hosted by Neon in the EU (Frankfurt) region. It stores your account profile, learner profile (role, goal, study time), the courses and lessons generated for you, your quiz answers and lesson progress, and any content reports you submit. This is the core data store that makes the product function.

Vercel — Hosting

Mindix is hosted on Vercel, which serves the application and processes standard request data (such as your IP address and request logs) as part of running the infrastructure, including for security and performance purposes.

Moonshot AI (Kimi) — AI course generation

The course topic you enter, along with related onboarding answers (such as your goal and level), is sent to Moonshot AI, the operator of the Kimi models, in order to generate your personalized course outline and lesson content. This means this data is transferred to a third-party AI provider outside of the infrastructure we otherwise control, and may involve a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information as a course topic.

PostHog — Analytics (EU region)

We use PostHog (EU-hosted instance) to understand how Mindix is used — for example, when a course is created, a lesson is completed, or a plan limit is reached. This helps us find and fix problems and improve the product. Analytics events are tied to your internal user ID, not directly to your name.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at yaroslav102201@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Data retention

We retain your account and course data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at yaroslav102201@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
